I would like to thank you for participation in today's seminar. <\/p>\n

It was Albert Einstein who once said that: "Everything that can be counted does not necessarily count; everything that counts cannot necessarily be counted \u2026" so, in that spirit I want to say a word on KM and "Critical Success Factors".
You are all aware that this is the Seminar title. But, Knowledge Management also needs to establish Critical Success Factors: KM is about Management, not only about Knowledge. Management is about Leadership and leadership entails the ability to effectively share and cooperate, as well as to promote seminars and activities of this nature. I am very proud to say that we share this leadership together as our critical success factor.
One of the main Critical Success Factors associated with KM is that it both enables and establishes realistic New Business Values for organizations, which launch KM programs. <\/p>\n

When I initially created our forum in the beginning of 2001, I set a vision that the forum, with cooperation of the Israeli Academy would actively develop the KM discipline in Israel. I was sure then and remain sure, that only mutual and vectorial effort between theory and practice will ensure the successful advancement of creating the KM body of knowledge. <\/p>\n

After almost 5 years of various activities and deep involvement in the KM field, we, practitioners from the Israeli Knowledge Managers forum, found that our co-partners from Tel Aviv University are unique and true visionaries and by joining forces we significantly enhance our ability to promote this evolutionary field of knowledge. <\/p>\n

For us, this seminar is a very significant turning point in our long journey. In Israel I am proud to say that KM is no longer a buzzword or mere hype: Each and every one of us is actively contributing to the knowledge of Knowledge Management, by learning and practicing: In our Organizations, within our forum, by speaking on any and every event, conference, publication etc. These days, we are broadening our presence to a virtual presence as well, by launching a virtual forum on the Business sector of Walla!, the major portal in Israel. <\/p>\n

And yet, a lot of work still remains to be done. We are all well aware of the fact that we cannot take our successes for granted, and that must continue to advance both internally and eternally the basic fundamentals of KM. Only now are some of the more enlightened Executives beginning to comprehend the value of leading and supporting KM programs. It is our duty to bring this same enlightenment to those that have yet to grasp that KM is roadmap to building Effective Organizations. <\/p>\n

The Israeli knowledge managers' forum includes several dozens of enthusiastic and devoted Knowledge Managers from all sectors of the Israeli business community and yet it is just a start. We need to continue developing infrastructure for the future of KM in Israel. <\/p>\n

The program of this seminar will allow us all to learn, to share and to broaden our experience: from abroad and from Israel, Theory and Practice, Knowledge Managers and Researchers. Good Practices by the Best people, not only best practices. We will all have a chance to share, to deal and to contribute. <\/p>\n

I am confident that we will all gain knowledge, and I hope we will have an insightful evening. Again, thank you all and I wish to express my hope to see you all in our future activities, as well. <\/p>\n
